How to find a new gf in my area ?

Ok, I am trying to find a new gf. But this time, I want to try and find one in my area. I live in SC and I am sort of having a difficult time finding a gf. I don't go to regular school( I do online school) so meeting someone at school isnt an option. I just dont know where to meet other lesbians that are single. I am only 17, so I am definately not up for using dating services..

Does anyone have any idea how I can meet other lesbians ?

If you have any gay friends in the area who are in a GLBT club in their high school or university, then I have found that to be the easiest way to meet other gays (being a university girl myself).

Another way is to go to gay clubs and gay pride events. Gay clubs attract all sorts of people though (depending on the club!) so be careful, just as you should when going to a regular club.

Ask your friends for help (especially gays). Facebook/Myspace are a good way of networking with people you've never met before. I'm not saying just search myspace for all single lesbians in your area, I'm saying go to your friends' pages and investigate their friends, or ask your friends in e-mail for help. I've been hooked up with tons of ladies thanks to my awesome friends.
